After my initial credentials ignorance, I have learned to appreciate all of the hard work and the quality of this Application! A great big Thank You goes out to all of the DEVs involved ! BRAVA! & BRAVO!

Would love to hear about what you are doing with TrueNAS and what problems it solved well.
Also we always like to hear fresh perspectives on what could be done batter... for you use case.

Someone in our company bought 4 Dell r7525 with 40Tb of disks and built a DFS replication ring. It failed horribly :D Two of the servers where corrupt( due to remote sync limitations) and needed a complete reconfiguration. I pulled those two back to HQ and since we have a bunch of small NFS and SMB servers , I am going to consolidate. I'm not sure if "scale" means that there is some sort of inherent ability to create an HA pair out of these two but I am certain that an rsync job between them would at minimum protect the data well enough as to not need to backup to another disk farm.

Yes, that works. ZFS replication is more efficient.

SCALE can also cluster 3 or 4 of them for SMB file sharing. That is the for the more adventurous...or if you need that functionality.
