Moving USB and HDD between machines

I have two HP micro servers - a N40L and a N54L - and whilst there isn't much difference between them the N54L has a slightly faster processor.

I purchased the N40L first and this is my main FreeNAS box and is running Plex and ownCloud. The N54L is just being used as a backup volume.

Would I just be able to power both down, swap the HDDs and USB sticks between the boxes and then restart with the faster machine now as my main one with Plex and ownCloud?

I think the answer is 'yes' but didn't want to screw either up!

Thanks. Done in about 10 minutes with just one warning to remind me to switch over the UPS cable :D
