Good morning!

I have 3 FreeNAS 9.3 servers. #1 is hosting the Time Machine backups for all the Mac's and works fine. But I need to take the server down for hardware and disk upgrades.

Is there any means of moving the Time Machine backups from one server to another and re-share without hte Mac's losing all their backed up data and being able to just pick up where the last backup left off?

Thanks!

I would snapshot and replicate the time machine volumes to the other freeNAS box then just create the afp shares on the second box. You'll have to make the replicated datasets writeable as replicated datasets are RO by default.
