moving Boot OS from one USB to another

Hi guys

Busy installing TrueNAS 12 onto a 30GB USB... it seems this is no the fastest USB... I"m thinking I should be able to use dd at a later point to move this 30GB partition and data onto another faster USB later, or maybe onto a SSD, thus creating a 30GB partition for the Boot OS and the remaining available still ?

Storage:
3 x 4TB Seagate Ironwolf HDD's
3 x 8TB Seagate Ironwolf Pro HDD's
1 x ADATA 128GB M.2 SSD
Currently configured as:
Pool: Tank: 3 x 4TB RaidZ1 - (channels 1) on IBM ServeRAID M1015 (in LSI9211-8i in IT mode), (video media, music, photos)
Pool: Bunker: 3 x 8TB RaidZ1- (channels 2) on IBM ServeRAID M1015 (in LSI9211-8i in IT mode), (documents, software & TimeMachine)
Pool: Apps: 2 x 450GB SSD's (ADATA SU630) - onboard SATA controller, hosts Plex, Unifi Controller etc
TrueNAS installed on 128GB M.2 NVME Transcend PCIe SSD 110S Gen3 x4
