Hello All,

A volume/dataset was replicated twice (out and in) during a storage upgrade. Now I am having problems updating the permissions for the dataset.

The dataset has owner and owner group set as _dhcp and no read or write permissions set.

When I edit the permissions in the GUI a message at the top of the screens says they are updated but when I look at them they are not.

I also set zfs set readonly=off for this data set.

Edit: (More info)
When I go to Shares and attempt to share the dataset it does not show up in the path as available to share.

What can I look at to solve this issue?

Sounds like the owner id and group id have changed on your upgraded system from what it used to be.
Was the original owner and group from a directory service?

What version of FN are you running on the PUSH and PULL boxes?

PUSH Owner User and Group = Nobody not a Directory Service
PULL Owner User and Group = _dhcp (as previously noted)

PUSH = FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201602031011
PULL = FreeNAS-9.3-STABLE-201602031011

It's weird because the original outward replication is accessible with no issues.

I SCP'd into FreeNAS and there is actually no folder for the dataset that is supposed to be there. I am going to destroy the dataset and try again.
