Hi, bit of a noob question probably but have read the Freenas Documentaion repeatedly and scoured the forums and am not finding anything.
I'm using DD and badblocks from the shell in the GUI. Once I put in a script and execute it, they run. But is there any way to exit the shell and come back to them executing? Every time I leave the shell, I come back to a blank shell... It's like its quitting whatever I was executing.
...Or is it running in the background...? (dun dun duhhhh)

It would be great if I could get on with other stuff and come back to see the progress of, say, a badblocks test.

Maybe the simple answer is... USE SSH!

Thanks for the input ahead of time!
