(Would have just added this to my other thread, but it got locked out...??)

I usually upgrade my Backups system first when a major release rolls around, just to test it out, and if no issues pop up, proceed to upgrade the main system. Typically, replication isn't affected by the backup system running a newer version of FreeNAS than the main server, but just thought I'd check : will this work this time?

I don't remember reading anything to the effect that the replication had been impacted by the house, but ya never know.

Thanks!

I do the same. It works for me. If it doesn’t for you it’d be bug report time.

This is also my update strategy. I've been running the latest FreeNAS 9.10 on my production server and FreeNAS 11 on the backup server since a couple of weeks after FN 11 was released (I'm waiting for the jail situation to stabilize before updating the production server to FN 11.X). There were never any issues with the replications.
