Missing a lot of disk Space after importing Volume

Just brought a new 1TB Seagate HD. Imported the volume as a UFS format, but for some reason my free available space is way down to 829TB. Thats a lot of space missing. Not sure why this is happening?

Are you sure it isn't reporting 829 TiB? See the differences between Terabyte and Tebibyte.

On second look, I think you got the deal of the century. You bought a 1TB drive and ended up with something 829 times larger. :smile:

Nothing is wrong, this is normal and how it works with all filesystems. Read up on TB vs TiB.

I had to do a double take when I read Depasseg casually referring to the 829TB. For a minute there, I thought this was a candidate for largest pool on the forum. :D
