I am working on building a NAS primarily for streaming 3-4 devices but also as an extra form of backup.
1. Will mirroring 2 4TB drives perform well enough for these tasks?
Here is what I am thinking for the build:
Supermicro MBD-X10SLL-F-O
i3-4170 3M Haswell Dual-Core 3.7 GHz
Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM ECC Unbuffered DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Server Memory Model CT2KIT102472BD160B
2x WD Red 4TB NAS Desktop Hard Disk Drive - Intellipower SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD40EFRX
