Mini-ITX with 6 SATA, 8GB RAM, 2 FreeNAS compatible NICs?

Hi guys,

I am looking at building a FreeNAS with a Fractal Array R2 Mini ITX NAS case. Can anyone recommend a Mini-ITX motherboard with:
- 6 x SATA
- 8GB RAM
- 2 FreeNAS compatible NICs?

I would like to make the system as energy efficient as possible, so low power utilisation would be an added benefit.

Hello,

I advice you the Supermicro X7SPA-HF-D525 which can officially support 4GB but actually works very well with 8GB (I have this motherboard with 8GB).

- 2x Corsair DDR3 4 Go PC10600
- 3x Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500 Go
- Lian-Li PC-Q11

- Netgear GS108T v2
- FreeNAS 8.0.4 / RaidZ / LACP

Are there any other options out there? The Supermicro X7SPA-HF-D525 is only available from one supplier in Australia, and it is around $AUD 338.

i'd go asus e-350 pro also, could throw a intel gigait nic into one of the pci slots.
