Hi,

I migrated to TrueNAS last night.
After some problems with UEFI boot, finally get in :)
But after a while I noticed that my subfolders with media are empty...
I don't think that are they deleted because there is still occupied disk space (visible on main catalog).
I started scrub process but it will make more that 20h and I'm scared that I will lost everything :(

There is no ZFS errors or disk errors. Everything looks fine.

Any tip for that case?

Best regards!

Suggest you follow "forum rules" above in red.

People would need specific software versions and preferably your hardware documented.

Its generally recommended to update from FreeNAS to TrueNAS CORE 13.0 and optionally then to TrueNAS SCALE.

I'm sorry...

Version is TrueNAS-SCALE-22.12.3.3, hardware: Motherboard Supermicro X9DR3-F, 2 x XEON CPU E5-2680 v2, 128GB RAM, mix of SATA/SAS harddrives (from Seagate).

It was fresh install of TrueNAS CORE and Pools was imported from old FreeNAS.

Have you tried looking into the folder to see if data is really missing... or is it just reporting the wrong number?

Scrub process ended but no luck, not helped with this... If there is any option with paid assist from TrueNAS specialist I'm in.

No... its Community support.

Anyone here can offer their services, but we prefer a self-help model.

This is an abnormal event... has all data been "hidden"?

not sure what steps you went through? You may want to rollback to CORE to recover data.

OK, solved. TrueNAS SCALE made a Datasets on place of normal folders (I don't know why). Unmounted datasets (for now I'm scared to delete them) and files are visible.

Maybe you saved the media in "folders" on the higher-level dataset, before creating child datasets? And now these empty children are being "mounted over" the original folders?

Code:
zfs list -t filesystem -r -o space mypool
