Microsoft deprecating basic auth

Hi,

Microsoft is deprecating basic authentication for its 365 services starting October 1st. Basic auth will still be usable in last resort until December 31st 2022.

Does TrueNAS have any plans to add oauth2 for email ?

SMTP AUTH will still be available when Basic authentication is permanently disabled on October 1, 2022

since TrueNAS is sending mail not fetching mail... there is no need for plans..

Thanks I wasn't aware of that.

Though it still does say :

However, we strongly encourage customers to move away from using Basic authentication with SMTP AUTH when possible.
