I am currently running tailscale 1.56.1app.
Yesterday I removed filebrowser 2.27. app. (installation worked fine, but uploading files did not work)

I am running Truenas Scale 23.10.1.3.

Any suggestion most welcome.

You can start by telling us what hardware you're using and then maybe someone can begin to 3xplain how things got to this point.

The good news is that, for now, the damage seems to be to stuff you can just download again, rather than user data.

Thanks for your quick answer. Unfortunately I am a noob and I am struggling to provide system info. Usually I use usually inxi to gather all system information, but I am not allowed to install it. Is there a place where I can copy & paste entire system info? I am remotely interacting with the machine.

Not really - the expectation is generally that you either built it and thus know what it is or bought an off-the-shelf unit and can point to a model number.

In any case, the most important information right now is:
  1. What disks are you using? (also, did you buy them "refurbished" by any chance?)
  2. How are the disks attached?
  3. What platform are you using (motherboard, CPU, and DRAM, most importantly)?
Regarding the disks, we'll also need the output of smartctl -x for both disks (probably /dev/sda and /dev/sdb, but lsblk will list all block devices.

Third disk is a ssd. Do you need this information as well?
All three disks are a few weeks old and not refurbished.

My Mobo is pretty old, at least 10 years old (Gigabyte) but unfortunately I can not remember specifics, plus I use 16GB Dram, but again I am not aware about specifics.

I forgot: All three disks are connected via SATA.

So the disks don't complain about much. This could be just random corruption in memory, since you're not using ECC memory (or at least it doesn't work with an i5); or the disks are pretty terrible and corrupting data without even having the decency of logging errors.

Thanks for your help. Really appreciate it. I am going to replace MOBO/RAM/processor to a more up to date model.

I'd suspect the disks first, but you need additional disks to be able to properly test the suspicious ones.
