Message "An error occured!" when creating dataset or Zvol

Using FreeNAS-11.1-U4 and when trying to create a dataset or Zvol, I get the message at the top "An error occured!". Which log will provide more details as to this error?

Just tried to "Save Config" and get the same error. The problem is expanding...

Assuming this occurs using the new/Beta UI my best advice would be not to use the new/Beta UI variant (which I am not using). Several postings in this forum suggest that the new/Beta UI as included in 11.1-U4 is rather dodgy.

I went to edit an existing dataset and it worked. Then I went to create a new dataset and voila, it is working again. Something fishy here...
