I think that I am having permission issues since I can not add the download directories in SABNZBD (it reverts back to is defaults i.e.; /var/db/sabnzbd/Downloads/incomplete ) and I am not modify any files from my Windows 7 pc.
My folder structure is as follows:
plex
plex
jails
media
The Storage permission settings for the following directory plex and it's to childern (jails and media):

- Set permission recursively: checked (while changing permissions)
- Path: /mnt/plex/media
- Use as home share: not checked
- Name: media
- Apply Default Permissions: checked
- Allow Guest Access: checked
