Manage Raid FreeNAS (Simple Question)

Hello :)
I would like to use Raid 5 (3x5TB HDD) At the moment only 2 have been delivered to me and the other one is heavily delayed. I would like to configure my setup already. Now to the question. Is it possible to use raid 1 first and then switch to raid 5 as soon as the other hard disk has arrived without moving/losing or reconfiguring the data? Or is it possible to install a placeholder HDD (8tb) and replace it as soon as the 5 tb arrives?

I am not familiar with raids yet and will use them for the first time. An answer would be nice :)

There is no such thing as RAID 5 in FreeNAS. There are mirrored vdevs and various RAIDZ levels, though.
No, you cannot change from a mirrored setup to e.g. a RAIDZ1 without recreating your pool losing your data.
