Greetings programs!
after updating two instances of truenas from 13.0-U4 to 13.0-U5.1 my users on apple silicon macs cannot create/modify color tags on SMB shares anymore, throws error -36.
It still works as intended on intel macs.
Anyone else seeing changed behaviour in this update concerning extended attributes?
Unfortunately it still works using afp shares - which is deprecated for more than 10 yrs and especially silicon macs are doing lots of bad things on afp shares - pls don't suggest that. ;)

thanks a bunch and best regards

Known regression. See here for workaround instructions until we are able to release an update: https://ixsystems.atlassian.net/browse/NAS-122538

perfect. worked like a charm! I did find out that it actually worked fine on files, just not on folders.
After stopping SMB, replacing the ixnas.so with the one provided in your linked ticket and restarting SMB it worked fine again!
Humble thanks for your amazing work and lightning-fast responses yet again, anodos!

If I replace the so with the linked one, will it be correctly replaced by a future system update?
