I heard rumors of Time Machine working over SMB (without hacks like setting up a disk image) - got anything interesting to share?

Probably needs a few changes to the FreeNAS code. Here's Apple's official Time Machine over SMB Specification.

I submitted a bug/feature request for this support to be added to FreeNAS 10. However, Samba currently doesn't fully support the F_FULLFSYNC feature which Apple requires as part of the specification.
