M1015 part numbers.

Hi guys, quick question,

I have an m1015 p/n 46M0861 , which is flashed and works well.

So I just bought another but it's p/n is 46C8933, It's now too flashed and works as well as the first.

They both say m1015 on the screen so I do know they are actually m1015's, but I'm just wondering if the different part numbers is something I should worry about or not?

Don't get hung up on the part numbers they are mostly used by IBM for builds and replacements. They all use the same LSI controller chip which is what matters. For example the 46C8933 is the replacement part number but its the exact same card.

Thanks mate for clearing that for me.
I was just worried the number would hurt resale price... not that I would want to let go of an m1015 ever
