I've read several posts from 2013-16 in which people were dissuaded from purchasing LSI 3008-based cards because the driver was in beta and they were relatively untested - in FreeNAS 9.x. But I didn't see any updates regarding driver development and stability. Used 9300-8i cards are coming around $100 on eBay. It would be nice to have 12gb/s, but stability is certainly more important.
