Lost Permissions

I set up my home NAS server back when it was FreeNAS 7 or 8 and created shares (via Services NFS and SMB) and then created folders in the main pool "Nas". Other than updating the system to TrueNAS 13 (VIA regular updates) I have not done anything with the GUI. Now when I try to create a new folder Windows says that I do not have permission. The Help documents say to edit permissions in the Pool settings but that is grayed out. I really have no idea what I'm doing with the TrueNAS system controls in the GUI.

Please help.

The instructions in the link above do not work. As I stated "Edit Permissions" in the Pool is grayed out. The popup that is there says "Root dataset permissions can not be edited". And this is where my folders are located. I believe. Because in windows my four other folders are in with the folders "iocage" and "jails".
