Looking for works-OOTB 40GbE NIC

Hi

I have looking for a 40GbE NIC that works out of the box in FreeNAS 11.2 or the upcoming 11.3. I found a post on STH (below) but doesn't say that these NICs would work out of the box without any firmware and/or driver installation.

The reason is we are working on a configuration but we want it to be **as-native-as-possible** to reduce the risks of integration and support, avoid future upgrades which may break the network stack etc. We would like gather the experiences of folks working on 40GbE out there.

I have been through the forums but there are no straight answers. Please advise.

Please ignore my post. I think I may have found my answer in Google.

Intel XL710-AM2 is my best choice https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/other/datasheet-AOC-S40G-i1Q_i2Q.pdf since I work with Supermicro. The drivers for the NIC is supported in FreeBSD and that should be a confidence booster for us to propose the configuration to the end user.
