My freenas works fine but i've a question.
When i go to the shared folder of my nas, windows ask for username and password.
If i put an exists username and a wrong password it tells me error but if i put a random username (that does not exist) and a random password it let me login letting me see all the folders.
How can i fix this? I don't want that random people can see all the folders

Well, if you've accepted all the defaults, everyone will have read access. The following video is worth studying FreeNAS and Samba (CIFS) permissions. Have a look through the SMB sharing section of the FreeNAS guide as well https://www.ixsystems.com/documentation/freenas/11.2/sharing.html#windows-smb-shares.

It will also be helpful to forum members if you add your FreeNAS hardware, software and pool configuration to your signature block. Having a context makes it easier to provide you with assistance.
