List of released OS for virtualization

Hello,
is there a list of released OS for virtual machines ?
I tried to install a virtual QNX- machine and it doesn't work.

This forum is intended more for users who are running TrueNAS as a virtual machine under another hypervisor, such as VMware.

If you're looking for information about "what VMs will run under TrueNAS" then you will need to check the supported guest OSes for the hypervisor that TrueNAS is using.

SCALE definitely has a larger array of supported guests - and KVM does list QNX as "Works" on their Guest OS Status page:

But it appears that you might need to make some adjustments not only to the network card type (ne2k_pci is suggested) but there is a footnote link to another external site.

For TrueNAS CORE, the bhyve hypervisor is used, and its list is here:

Thank you for your effort. I also tried to install a very mundane Windows 8 and it didn't work either. I'm researching a tutorial where it says in which log files to look.

bhyve only really supports OSs that boot off UEFI. Windows 8 predates UEFI. QNX, so far as I know, uses a proprietary bootloader, not UEFI.

You can get bhyve to boot OSs that support grub, but it ain't pretty.
