Hi, I'm a new user of freenas and servers in general.

I have 2x1tb drives full of films, I would like to install these into my freenas box (I know they will be formatted, it is ok I have backups) and store the films on it, but i would like it so that in windows i could have all the films in one share, not in seperate ones for each volume.

Is there a way to do this, and still be able to add more volumes at a later date?

Cheers, Alex.

if you make it 3 drives you could
Create a raidz pool with 3 drives , allocate a filesystem, this is your filesystem.
When you feel for expanding, add 3 more drives ( as a raidz vdev ) to the previous pool. Repeat
if you like.
