Link aggregation and switch choices

So I want to set up link aggregation as i have a dual gigabit NIC for my build. but the switch I have does NOT support something like LACP. What it DOES have however (its the DGS-1100-08 A1) is port trunking. I am wondering if 1.) these 2 are compatible as I can't seem to find any documentation saying one way or the other. and 2.) if not, is there a way for me to take advantage of the trunk on my switch with the dual NIC in truenas?

You will need a managed switch with support for LACP 802.3ad. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Link_aggregation
