Large Data Transfer

Hello All,
I need to migrate 1.5TB of data from an old QNAP to my newly installed FreeNAS. What would be the best way to transfer the data from one NAS to FreeNAS?

Mount QNAP with nfs on FreeNAS, then use rsync
It should take few hours but it is straightforward.

You should verify that your files on the QNAP don't have xattrs written to them before doing the NFS/rsync thing (since this will strip them).

Is there any documentation you could point me to? I am fairly new to Linux and am not sure how to mount the drive from my QNAP to NFS share.
