Does anyone have Lansweeper running and would you be kind enough to share how you installed it?

I assume > jail > windows host > lansweeper. Any other way?

Used it for ages and consider it extremely useful, got the agent installed on all my windows machines, but I am open for alternatives. I will need to setup a Windows Host regardless.

The installation requirements state that this software runs on Windows exclusively. What would you put in the jail?

A virtual Windows.

Unless someone has found another way. If not, then it's fine. I can run it from there.

I thought you could/should use Jails for VM,s but it seems it is not necessary...

Jails and VMs run different things. Jails are for native FreeBSD applications, e.g. Nextcloud. You can run a Windows VM with that software on TrueNAS.
