Hello,
First time poster, I normally can figure things out but on this I'm kind of stuck. I am running the latest TrueNAS on the following:
asrock x399 taichi > threadripper x2950 > 128gb ddr4
-> 2 built in 1gb intel ethernet ports.
--> igb0 has a static assigned : 10.0.0.201
-> Also have a 4x 1gb port intel pcie card
--> So network interfaces are igb0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Network is a Netgear Prosafe JGS524PE l2 "smart" switch.
- > I can set up a basic "LAG" but there's no protocols.
Question, can I set up a LAG with 4 of the ports (the switch only allows up to 4 ports) from the intel card? Would I use the Link Aggregation without any protocol? I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but I'm just really confused after doing some searching. I use to have a (loud) Cisco switch in here but I hated how loud it was and had a 10gb connection.
And I know, I am sure I will almost never saturate the 1gb network interface, I just want it to work if possible.
Thank you in advance for any assistance!
