Hello,
i have done a stupid thing and bundled with another error i dont know to correct that. I tried to configure LAGG Loadbalancing on all 4 1GB ports. After That i cannot conenct to my NAS anymore. Additionaly after grub the Screen goes black with BMC and monitor. (This happens on older istances too but after first isntall it was good).
First My Setup (It may look strange but i got the most stuff at low prices or had them as spare parts):
MB: Gigabyte MU70-SU0 http://b2b.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5133#ov (if anyone knows how i can use WOL without webinterface please write)
CPU:
Xeon E5 1603v3 4x 2,8GHz
RAM:
2x 16GB Crucial 2400 MHz RegECC Singlerank
SSDs:
2x 60GB Sandisk SDSSP064G For Freenas
1x 240 GB Crucial M500 for Jails
HDDs:
2x 1 TB Hitachi HDT721010SLA mirrored ZFS for Important Data. (I want to replace them for 4 Disk Setup if i can get good drives for a bargain.)
1x 3GB Seagate Disk for Media Data
Switch:
Netgear GS724Tv4 24x1GB 2xSFP+ Smart Switch
What i did: gone to the Network Settings and thought after i installed the new switch that i could test Load Balancing and created a LAG for Load balancing with all my 4 Network Ports (Why i did not test it with 2 or 3 first :/) and rebooted.
So i can't reset the Network at the Server because i have only a black screen. The Server does not connect to the Network and i configured on the netgear switch a lot (maybe not the right stuff). I tried to create one LAG channel for the 4 Ports from the Server.
What i can do:
Load out of grub an older Version of my Freenas install and go to the shell. But i dont know how to reset the Network Setting of the install.
Broken Installation:
Older Versions:
I use the stable one
I tried with a lot of forum reading to either get the display working with solutions of https://bugs.pcbsd.org/issues/12378
I found this thread but i am not sure if it works from a different version installation install . https://forums.freenas.org/index.php?threads/network-misconfigured.9503/
My Possible Solutions:
-Get my switch Probably configured (but maybe something in the installation)
-Get the black screen away and reset network per commands
-Reset Networking from older Freenas Version
-Save Settings without the Network settings(possible?) from older Freenas Version and reinstall Freenas
