Hi,

I'm running freenas build 9.10.2-U4 (27ae72978) on my primary fileserver:
Supermicro X9SRI-3F, Xeon E5 2670, Supermicro SC836
2x Samsung 32GB ECC M386B4G70DM0-YK04, Intel X540T1 @ Netgear XS708E
12x 4TB WD red, 2xRAIDZ2, 2x Sandisk Cruzer 16GB


I received daily security run output with entry:

kernel log messages:
pid 8922 (smbd), uid 0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped)

-- End of security output --

This log is listed in console messages several times a day, and the users telling me about temporary lost of smb connections.

Any hints what to do?

It looks like updating to the latest 9.10 stable (or upgrading to the latest 11) should fix this: https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/24523#note-2.
