Hi - I have completed my install of FreeNAS and am trying to configure my active directory integration. I am able to add my active directory domain and then when I go to set permissions for my dataset. I am able to set thor\administrator as the owner and then when I go to "Owner Group" there is no option for domain users.

1.) How can I check to make sure I am properly connected to my domain (considering I can see my thor\administrator I believe I am)
2.) How can I add the domain users back in
3.) Is setting domain users the best method for configuring this to test a romaining profiles solution?

Hi - I just tried going a WBINFO -G from the shell and I can see thor\domain users there but it still is not showing up in the console for me to apply.

Uhmm, are you sure you want to give everyone on the domain ownership of that dataset?

Yes, I am trying to see if i can configure Microsoft Work Folders to work with a NAS solution. Everyone will need to be able to get into the dataset and then I will use further security permissions to restrict access to the individual folders.

There's a difference between allowing access and granting ownership. Any owner (so, anyone in your scenario) can absolutely wreak havoc on the share.

It makes much more sense to give the admins or something ownership and then grant whatever permissions are needed.
