I have a Jail that owns a private interface, but coldn't connect to the internet.

A fixed address 10.0.20.4 is filled in, a netmask /16 for that, type is "standard", interface igb0 has been chosen, and "allow.raw_sockets=true" is noted in the sysctls pane.
VIMAGE and NAT were unchecked at creation time, autostart is checked, and that's all.

How do you make this jail routable?? I tried checking VIMAGE again AFTER having assigned the private interface, filling in the default gateway and saving. Then the jail config pane shows no interface, while netstat and ifconfig in a jail shell show inconsistent data, and after restart it is inaccessible.

I solved this. Not a FreeNAS problem, it was an unexpected trait of IP/MAC Binding in a ZyWall router.
