I was adding a jail in FreeNAS web UI. With Add Jail button I added a jail. For the first time it took a little time to finish. Then I opened shell from FreeNAS web UI. First I changed root password with # passwd then I wanted to update the jail
# pkg upgrade

then I've got an error

Updating FreeBSD repository catalogue...
pkg: Repository FreeBSD has a wrong packagesite, need to re-create database

The jail/shell hanged. I suppose. Well it didn't do anything. I was waiting for about an hour.

When I was making a jail I tried with VIMAGE option and without. In Template option there is just VirtualBox option or no option.

I already have some Plugin jails created and they all work.

What did I do wrong?

Were you able to resolve this error? If not, does adding a default gateway to that screen fix it? Is a DHCP server available in your network? If so, does switching to DHCP fix it?

I have deleted my manualy created jails once more and I've created them once more.

Now this works

# pkg upgrade

And I've tested and also this works.

# pkg install owncloud
