The last time we had this kind of thread, @jgreco had just gotten to 4 000 posts and the forum was at 150 000 posts. Jgreco now has more than 10 000 posts and the forum is past 300 000. Though Cyberjock, despite his relative inactivity, is still barely surpassed by the next two people put together.

My posting rate has been dropping stedily for about a year. The young kids are taking over and I'm fine with that. When we started FreeNAS 8.0, we were the rock stars and we were compiling code all night long and writing scripts for everything. It was good times for sure and back then I knew a few things. Things have changed and I don't want to learn Python and Java and whatever else is out there. Give me machine code or Assembler and I'm happy. Well I can handle C/C++ as well.

So it will take me a few more years to hit a count of 9000 unless Josh does something to the forums and my number magically takes a leap. But I'm fine with my count.

By the way, it felt weird giving Josh a "Thanks" when I really was conveying a "Likes". Just Saying ;)
