Hey Everyone! I purchased this UPS for my NAS. Not the best, I know, but At that time was a little more financially limited then optimal, so I (perhaps thought wrongly) though that this ups would be better then none. When I tried to configure it a few days ago, things started out oddly. First and foremost, when I try to enable the services, it does not seem to work. When i try to find out about the usb-port it is connected to, the methods I have tried seem to fail
Code:
[root@Darwin] ~# dmesg | grep -i usbus | grep -i --color 'american power conversion'
[root@Darwin] ~# dmesg | grep -i usbus | --color 'american power conversion'

I am starting to think that the ups I bought is not FreeNAS compatible. Is that the case? Or am I simply doing it wrong?

It might have already scrolled out of the dmesg buffer. Use just usbconfig to show all the detected devices.

(That prompt says "Darwin", which I'll assume is a hostname and not something Apple...)
