Hi,

I work with a software which can only work with local disk. I use 2 computers with this soft and i would like to work on the same virtual disk.
Could I create a sharing disk by using ISCSI ?
If you know solutions to do that, that will be great.

Bye

windows? no.
other? maybe but a pain.

In windows 7 you can do it, but IT WILL create problems, (should be read it as: kiss your data goodbye) even if is exported as readonly. Expect file corruption and speed degradation (since iSCSI is point-to-point). Also do not check the multipath option!

If you're willing to disconnect your iSCSI session on one machine before initiating a session from the other (and vice versa), you can do it. However, deviation from that procedure will likely cause you to lose data.

A safer method would be to mount the iSCSI device on one machine and use remote desktop when you want to use your software from the other machine.
