Existing simple file sharing dual purpose PC, Group permissions 20 users minimal usage.
Upgrading to add iXsystems FreeNAS Mini 4 disks.

Hi
My first impression was that I could just create a zvol, hook up iSCSI and the existing PC could continue to administer the shared directories and group permissions however this appears to negate half the properties and performance of zfs which leads me to think that a samba/CIFs shares would be more efficient and better in the long run.
Whilst there are always going to be pros and cons, is this a fair assessment for my simple requirements?
