Hey everyone,

I just setup a FreeNAS on my network and wanted to utilize ISCSI. I am using FreeNAS 9.3. I installed the updates from the GUI. I followed a guide on how to set it up, but the service fails to start. Looking at the logs I get the following error:
Code:

While I can't help you with your issue, you might want to start with FreeNAS 9.10.1-U4 (latest version) instead. Version 9.3 is almost 2 years old.

While I don't know, I would think the config files are created by the middleware. So if there is a syntax problem it may be due to something entered wrong in the Services > iSCSI windows within the GUI. Might want to double check that stuff.

Looking at /usr/local/libexec/nas/generate_ctl_conf.py line 64 on my system it looks like it's trying to parse the Services > iSCSI > Initiators config. So I would specifically check that your entries there are correct.
