iSCSI Direct Attached best practices?

Just a general question if there is a guide or best practices for setting up iSCSI from a Windows Server 2019 to a TrueNAS NAS via direct attached SFP+ on 10GB. I have set this up before and it seemed to work fine but had some console messages about the Windows Server IP address being blocked even though it seemed to be working fine. Not looking to to try to troubleshoot that issue, just looking for a guide or best practices. Couldn't seem to find what I was looking for when searching.
