Using 8.0.1 BETA 4
Server 2008 R2 x64 (4 servers)

iSCSI Connection completes, drive shows up, no issues here (Using CHAP authentication). Within a few minutes the drive disappears, the iSCSI initiator for Windows shows "reconnecting..." after a few minutes the drive comes back, and Windows says it needs to scan the drive, the scan completes, says it fixed errors. After a few minutes the process repeats itself.

It has been connected to 1 server now for a few hours without issues, so it seems to be when multiple devices connect to it.

EDIT:

Connected second server, but now another issue has come to light. For example if server A places a file on the iSCSI drive, server B cannot see it. Likewise the other direction as well...

You cannot share the same iSCSI target to multiple machines, it is like physically sharing a hard drive between multiple machines

Read the manual to start ;)

Samba aka CIFS are your only option if you need to access the same data between the servers, otherwise multiple iSCSI targets on FreeNAS.

Please excuse me if I am stating the obvious but does this mean that FreeNAS cannot be used for virtualization storage for use with solutions like vMotion?
Thanks,

It's not true. For ESXi 4.1 it works fine. If you like to use shared iSCSI LUN on windows don't format it into NTFS. Usу special Cluster File System from MS.
