So I'm a little unsure about a few details regarding configuring an iSCSI share in TrueNAS Core.

I have recently setup a Domain Controller on my home lab network and am in the process of configuring an iSCSI share.

However I'm confused about the Portal Section of the iSCSI wizard.

When configuring CHAP with a domain controller, do the Group ID and Users need to match with entries in the Domain Controller?

In other words do I need to create a new Group and User in Active Directory for an iSCSI Share and use the Group ID and Username of those newly created objects?

Please let me know if any further information is provided.

What kind of computer are you connecting this to..?

Usually using the wizard on TN will make it pretty obvious if you've got it setup.
However, for me to use it on MacOS, I had a free 2w demo then it'd $70 for the iSCSI license.
There are no free iSCSI services for MacOS that I could find.

Also, its WAY faster for IOPs -- but not quite as fast for MB/s.
