Why is it that I read "ACOW" I keep thinking of Bart Simpson saying "Don't have a cow, man"?

I experience two hanging dashboard widgets on my main system. Everything else seems to be working. Any ideas?

my upgrade was a nightmare .... took over 3 hours ... after a fresh, wipe boot drives, install everything looked more hopeful till a reoccurring issue rose it's head again, the system would not boot by itself after the config file was restored. throughout the process, when warm rebooting of the system, I would have to go down and turn it off .. let drives spin down .. and power up again. Never had any issue like this before since I built it.

Although everything (files/jails/settings) were there, Plex has been up to old tricks that were resolved in the last update.

In many years of updating f/w on my Qnap boxes and until now .... everything had been smooth sailing.

BACKUP that CONFIG file ......

Oh well ... live'n'learn ....
First of all I'm a novice so a little lee way .. after a little more thought

It would cold boot anytime

it would not warm boot IF the OS on the boot drive was U3 ..... so it WOULD warm boot into the flash drive when installing from such, but the boot after a GUI update (to U3) ... it would not. Nor would it WB when restoring the config file from a fresh ( boot drive cleared) U3 install.

Where the problem lies (HW/SW) don't know. But after a CB to install the config file ..... I haven't tried booting since.

Hopefully a little more clarification .....

Hmm.. /nonexistent shouldn't exist. Maybe pam_mkhomedir did it for nobody user. You can probably nuke the dir and make it go away.
