So after days of trying to get my box up and running I think it's done. Now I'm seeing something weird. When I right click my volumes in Windows explorer, and click properties, the "space used" is much larger than it should be. I copied a 7Gb folder, and windows is saying I used almost 30Gb of space. When I go into the Freenas GUI and check the volume, it confirms 7Gb of space used.

Anyone else see this? I did a brief search but couldn't find anything on it.

I have 2 volumes. 1 mirrored and 1 stand alone. Both volumes are UFS

FreeNAS-8.0.4-RELEASE-p1-x86 (11059)
My main pc is Windows 7 64 bit

If you used zfs on the freenas AND compression is enabled on the share, then the answer is

I used UFS, and I don't believe compression is enabled. Unless its enabled as default.
