Is ix-applications folder for Core, or Scale too?

Upgraded to Scale from Core, my iocage and ix-applications folders are still around in one of my pools.
Is ix-applications only used by CORE or by SCALE as well? Want to make sure it's safe to remove.

ix-applications is only used by SCALE.
