Is FreeNAS can create RAID on partitions?

Hi. I wonder if I can use for example 2x 3TB disk on my server, and only use 500GB on each disk to create RAID1 volume, and create JBOD on the rest of free space on both disks?

Not from the GUI, certainly. Perhaps from the command line if you know the commands, but I do not.
