Hi,

I usually power down my Dell C2100 NAS while I'm at work and turn it on when I get home. I use the Dell remote management controller web interface and power it on. About powering off: I know you shouldn't, but sometimes I keep the NAS powered off for days. I would like to use an iPhone application either linked to Google or Home Assistant, to turn it on and off with a button.

Do you have any recommendations or tutorial how I should approach this?

My server has BMC, so ssh should not be possible. I see reference to SNMP, can this be configured into FreeNAS?

hello
SNMP in FreeNAS with FreeNAS poweroff ??!!
what about wake-on-lan feature of your router/gateway (pfsense, DD-WRT, Open-WRT, some ASUS router, etc.)
I use that (on pfsense gateway) and work great
succes

How about an IFTTT relay device that's patched to the front-panel power button leads?
