I have updated today's 11.2-BETA3 build and I am unfortunately still seeing the same thing. Any jail, either imported or newly created, disappears after a reboot.
As a result of FreeNAS not being able to create plugins properly from the UI, I resorted to fetching the plugin `sudo iocage fetch --plugins --name nextcloud ip4_addr="re0|192.168.1.19"`
Unfortunately, this has now placed me in the scenario with no configuration. Feels bad man.
Anecdotally, I laugh every-time someone says "Don't install anything on FreeNAS directly—it's an appliance". About as good as my toaster. Yep.
After installing FreeNAS-11.2-RC1, I'm happy to say that the issue has been resolved. In addition to moving to this release, I also had to move the iocage mount to the target pool, and I used zfs inherit to move all mount points.
Still not working for me. Using 11.2-RC1, created a jail, showed up in GUI, rebooted and gone again......
iocage list says "jailname" is missing it's configuration, please destroy this jail and recreate it. Just like before.
Well, i spoke to soon, I discovered i had iocage mounts on all three of my pools. After destroying two of them all seems well now on reboot.
