My FreeNAS box sometimes does not want to boot up and stops with:

kdb: enter: panic
kdb_enter +03b: movq

This morning it took 4 tries before it finally came up all the way. The box is a repurposed desktop machine. Build particulars are:

Pentium D CPU
8GB ram
2 x 1TB WD red drives
Realtek NIC onboard
1GB network
ZFS
Initial build was 8.2 64bit upgraded to 8.3 64bit with upgrade to ZFSv28
FreeNAS installed on an 8GB USB stick

How significant are the boot failures? Am I headed for a system failure?

I was hoping that I wasn't the only one with this error. So if anyone ever does, here is where it stands as og now. Searching for "movq" on the BSD forum netted a few hits that seemed to point to memory or motherboard BIOS issues. Today I opened up the case, reseated the memory modules, removed some unnecessary hardware, upgraded the BIOS and installed a serial header cable for UPS communication. The machine booted up fine afterward. So far, so good. Now I need to find out how BSD designates serial port 1.
