If it took the config, I think it should really be OK, but if the settings are sufficiently mangled to not give you the admin site, then perhaps it's a core to scale upgrade that's required.

Declaring problem...
I reverted to CORE by installing core onto my M.2. then imported my config file,
it rebooted... when i came back pw was accepted and it had my disk pools.
I initiated a upgrade to SCALE, it installed, rebooted a couple of times, eventually settling one the console setup page, web interface again not accessible.
current status.

just done, same end result, SCALE starts, i'm at the console page, but no accessible web interface.

OK, and a forced reload of the page doesn't help in some way?

I guess with the same IP, it's probably got the CORE site artifacts cached against the SCALE backend which would be an issue of some kind.

Can you ssh to SCALE?

What about running cli --menu in the ssh session?

OK, so we need to deal with the networking via the console menu...

Make sure to specify the right default gateway and DNS servers.

Got it up... remembered that for some reason my last CORE build also used the bridge interface.
so told it to with the primary access to that and got a new IP (will go re associate the IP with whatever new MAC it took).
I can see my storage groups.
so have to try and install PLEX and see if it can find it's media.
making progress....

if i can ask... while still here with peoples attention, can i make a app listen on a specific IP address.
I use to run 172.16.10.24 for th TrueNAS access itself but ran/listened on 172.16.10.26 for PLEX,
I'd like to split workloads over different IP's again.

That's not really the right way to do modern security with kubernetes, but if you look at the guide for metallb on TrueCharts.org that gives you a way to get there and not be too broken.

in case you didn't find it.

Also, that can only be used in conjunction with TrueCharts apps... but they seem to have everything you mentioned and much more, so should be no problem.

Make sure you look into heavyscript also and learn how to backup your apps with it as TrueCharts can be a little fast & loose with breaking changes when updates come.
